TL;DR: Kinda hard to judge overall. The duck is tender, and the sauce for the congee is great, but the rest is pretty mid. Food 🍲 Teochew Braise Set (Item #4) Let’s break it down: The meh stuff: 🫳🏻 Most of it is just… normal. Nothing stands out. 🫳🏻 The portion looks big, but it’s mostly bulked up by bean sprouts (taoge). Not really braised food, but okay. 🫳🏻 The beancurd (dao gua) lacks depth—sauce didn’t soak through. 🫳🏻 The intestines are chewy, as they should be, but nothing special. 👎🏻 The cucumber was a no-go—soaked and way too salty to eat. The good stuff: 👍🏻 The baked beans are soft and tasty—nothing fancy, but I liked them. 👍🏻 The duck is tender, with a good balance of meat and fat. 👍🏻 The congee sauce/gravy is the real star. Slight herbal taste, super flavorful—wish I could’ve gotten more of it. Service 🫳🏻 Run by two old uncles—one scolded the other for misunderstanding my order, which was oddly funny. 👍🏻 You can choose between rice, kway chap, or congee when ordering the set. 👍🏻 Payment options include cash, PayLah, or PayNow—great since some stalls here are cash-only. Atmosphere 🫳🏻 Typical hawker center noise levels. 👍🏻 No queue when I ordered at 10:50am on a Saturday—quick and easy!

Agree with Manccan on the cantankerous uncles. The duck rice is underwhelming but kway chap is passable.

Served by two very cantankerous uncles. Food was extremely.. underwhelming, both in terms of taste and portion. At least the chilli is free though, so.. you’ve been warned.

Uncle was so rude, I said hello and wanted to order the food but he just ignore me and continue preparing Grabfood orders and despite there being a queue behind me, the uncle just remained to prepare the grabfood orders without saying anything like wait a while

Decided to try this stall, as my usual duck rice stall ran out of braised duck. Not bad! The uncle at the stall is also friendly. I’ll be back

Order duck rice take away from this store at Marine Parade. There are flies flying around in the eggs, as well as feasting on the eggs and the server did not do anything about it. Eat at your own risk, if your stomach is strong. Very unhygienic , and the guy preparing the food don’t care about the hygiene as well.

Idk how from childhood favorite to total disappointment. Rice was too soft and no fragrance. Duck was mushy and gamey, no braised flavor at all, egg was super hard and overcooked. The chilli which was my favourite when young, is now chilli padi, spicy as hell, losing the flavor. Terrible I don't want to eat it anymore bye.

ordered the duck noodle (dry, with chilli). The meat was tender and delicious with the braised sauce (deep flavor, neither too oily nor sticky). the chilli blends well with the noodle and fish cake, well-presented if a modest portion (i …

I was charged $9 for 1 person meal of kway chap with majority of the duck are fatty skin. Not worth it. Will not come anymore.

Omg. saw an unhygienic act. this uncle is preparing a pot of soup and he added something like salt, sugar and some white powder. the water tap above was running and he used it to rinse his hand and all the dirty water goes into the same pot. eat at your own risk.
