The soft and tatsy braised egg bits, springy fishcake slices, crunchy cucumber, and the beancurd, all gave a nice mixture of texture and taste to compliment each other! Though the beancurd was not so crispy on the outside as I wanted it to …

despite the 1.5hrs travelling time from the west, I still make an effort to swing by whenever I can. Some go for chicken rice after overseas travel, mine is surely the SS Tau Kwa Pau! HUAT AH! You must try it too!

An old school dish that is hardly replicated anywhere else $4 for a plate of 2 buns $2 for 4 fishball $2 for a fried ham Definitely a lot of man hours goes into preparation, as a result most plates are not piping hot or crispy unfortunately. Still a must try cause there's a good chance this dish wouldn't be around in decades to come

L1 dunman food centre, cash only, option to eat in or takeaway. Homemade chilli sauce is beautifully spicy, got a great kick. Got 2 pieces ($2/piece) of tau kwa pau to eat there. Braising sauce is not overly jelak, filling of pork belly, yam fritters together with the fried tau kwa. Really filling as well.
