Shan Li You opened at Jewel Changi Airport on 15 October 2026. Jewel lists it as 山里有SHAN at #02-217. Eatbook published the first English look the same day. It is Yunnan cooking on the landside, Level 2, with suitcases parked against the noren.
Jewel's own dine directory slug 404s. The tenant is real. The mall's eCapitaVoucher list names 山里有SHAN at 02-217 among participating outlets. Eatbook gives hours, a phone number, and the dishes people are already photographing. Menu prices for the mains were still marked TBD on 15 October. The A-board outside the shop photographed that day advertised an all-day time-limited offer at 人均 $88++.
What is actually on the table
Eatbook names three plates that keep coming up. Porcini mushroom, truffle and egg rice, a claypot with a yolk on top. Wild pepper and wild fruit sour beef soup, sliced beef in a sour, spicy broth. Lychee sweet and sour pork, a halved passionfruit sitting in the middle of the plate. None of those three had a published dollar figure on Eatbook's first pass. Do not treat a blog guess as a price.
The one firm number is tea. You build your own pot for $1.90++ per person, four leaves: Yunnan rose, golden chrysanthemum, sticky rose green tea, rice pu'er. Minimum two people. If you are flying alone, skip the tea set or find a second cup. Fruit ice-blended drinks sit on the same drinks list if tea is not the point.
Hours, halal, and who this is for
Monday to Friday 11.30am to 10pm. Saturday and Sunday 11am to 10pm. Phone 8821 0250. Eatbook states the restaurant is not halal-certified. If that is a hard rule for your table, this is not the Jewel stop. Tian Tian on B2 and Food Republic remain the landside fallback we already covered this year.
Jewel is the airport lump, not Bedok. This opening still belongs on an East food site because it is a new kitchen at 78 Airport Boulevard that Easties actually reach on the East-West Line. Walk from Changi Airport MRT through Jewel, up to Level 2. No boarding pass. It is not a neighbourhood kopitiam. It is also not another Korean burger drop. Yunnan cooking with a $1.90++ tea tray is a different lunch from Lotteria downstairs.
Eatbook credited Jewel Changi Airport for the shop photographs and @yum_seng for the lychee pork plate. If the A-board offer has rotated by the time you go, ask the floor for that day's set before you sit. The tea tray is the one price that should still be $1.90++ unless they reprint the drinks list.
Greendot Plus at Jewel launched a seasonal menu the next day, 16 October through 10 January 2027, exclusive to that outlet. Separate kitchen. Do not mix the two on a booking.
