Had their traditional dry prawn and pork mee pok for lunch today. Decent bowl of dry noodles with fresh tasting prawns. The pork is hand sliced and thick enough for a good texture. …

There was no queue when I visited. I ordered a bowl of prawn noodle soup for $2.80 but asked if I could change it to prawn noodle dry. The owner said it would cost an additional $1, making it $3.80. I agreed since I preferred less soup to …

The food was so tasty. I love dry noodles (mee pok). The noodles were nicely cooked and the sauce was spicy. The small soup was a prawn based soup. It was super flavorful. It was kind of a bummer that there were only 1,5 slices of prawns! But for the price, I should not complaint.

I don’t know how this got listed for Singapore best foods. Had the prawn noodles before and it didn’t exactly taste good. Mediocre at best… Today many of the good stalls were closed and so I gave this stall another try but… the pork ribs in the pork rib noodles were still extremely cold inside. I’m okay with food being stored in the fridge then heated up, but heat it up properly please… the kwey teow noodles? Not only were the texture and taste mediocre, the portion was miserable! I’m not exaggerating when I said the noodles only filled a fifth of the whole freaking bowl. You could tell none of the ingredients (the stale-tasting vegetables, the mediocre-tasting broth, the cold meat, etc) were prepared with care. Left me feeling unsatisfied and still hungry

❤️ Food sharing IG @ jkgourmets 😋 美食分享尽在 IG @ jkgourmets Tampines Hub new hawker centre was clean and airy, such new modern hawker centre hardly get good traditional food stall. Surprisingly, this prawn noodle stall called themselves an classic traditional more than three decades. Not sure and nothing we can proof that except tasting it. So I just ordered the very classic simple prawn noodle in soup, the most affordable cheapest in the menu. It surprise me again that it come with very decent ingredients, prawns and pork meat was delicious and fresh. Not much vegetables but lots of carbs, which I ordered in thin bee-hoon. Soup base was not bad, quite well balanced with enough prawn taste, not too sweet. Not sure they added sugar or not but no doubt is was overall a delicious, flavourful, great value bowl of prawn noodle. I do recommend all to try, not sure the dry version, some said not flavourful enough, lack of Umami. But at least for my bowl of soup version was okay. So no harm try it.
