Really like their dry version! Makes for a hearty meal but you'll probably over order by accident. It's just so easy to keep taking the ingredients. When you order to take away they'll even give you a small container to put your favorite sauce combination. Don't forget to take the sesame seed paste!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 / 5 Stars Definitely a solid 4/5 stars in my books. Ordered the usual mala items (Pork Belly 🐷, Chicken 🐔 , Tofu Skin, Vegetable 🥗 , 手工面) and it was very delicious with the fragrant beef broth. The price on the other hand is also a little high. Selected the beef broth with mild spice level and was able to enjoy the overall taste of it without much difficulty. Personally, the choice of soup with the ingredients is an interesting concept for me and is perfect when paired together with your own sauce and dipping the ingredients with it. One downside however, is that I realise the meat when clumped up together even after it was cooked. The pork remained in a stack and I was afraid that some of it might be uncooked. Fortunately all is good. Overall, I received very good service from the team here providing me with quick and good customer service when needed. Would definitely come back here to eat again! 👍🏻🍜
Disappointing Experience at Yang Guo Foo: A Tale of Two Staff Members My recent visit to Yang Guo Foo at SingPost Centre left me deeply disappointed, tarnishing my otherwise positive perception of the franchise. While I've been a loyal fan of YGF at other locations, the experience at this outlet was marred by the appalling behavior of one particular staff member – the cashier. From the moment we approached the counter, the cashier's rudeness was palpable. She not only shouted at us but also banged on the card terminal when we inquired about the payment process for NETS. Such behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. However, amidst this unpleasant encounter, there was a glimmer of hope in the form of another staff member, notably younger and far more courteous. Despite the cashier's demeanor, this staff member went out of her way to assist us, patiently addressing my partner's inquiries and accommodating his request to customize his order. Regarding the food itself, it was satisfactory, albeit overshadowed by the negative encounter with the cashier. One notable solution offered by the accommodating staff member was to order the dish dry and omit the sauce, catering to my partner's preference to avoid spiciness without compromising on flavor. Despite the redeeming efforts of the younger staff member, the unpleasant encounter with the cashier significantly soured our overall experience. Such behavior is not reflective of the standards expected from a reputable establishment like Yang Guo Foo. I am compelled to voice my concerns and intend to lodge a formal complaint with the management regarding this incident. It is my hope that corrective measures will be taken to ensure that future patrons do not encounter similar issues.
Dining Experience @ Yang Guo Fu Mala Tang. . Ambience is bright, clean, and buzzing. The functional modern décor contrasts with its street‑food roots, while the ingredient counters exude a bustling market‑style energy with people queuing. The space feels approachable, designed for quick meals yet comfortable enough to linger. Expect a short 10 minutes queue for seats. . Service is friendly, efficient, and hardworking. Pick a bowl, select from a wide variety of fresh ingredients, including meats, vegetables, seafood, and more, then weigh it and make payment over the counter. Staff fulfil orders fast, and clean up quickly when diners leave. They politely greet customers welcome, and bid them farewell. . Food is modern Chinese Sichuan cuisine, focused on soups / broths with fresh ingredients. There are 5 different varieties of soups / broths, over 85+ fresh ingredients, and 12 condiments available. Great place to come with friends and family. The hot soup was perfect on such a rainy evening. We even got to refill the soup. Staff was very welcoming and helped us find seats.
