Trying for the first time since the last visit, they were closed. Thankfully it wasn’t a long queue when I arrive that day. Queue and got my food in 10mins. Makcik was super friendly and nice. Got the masala thosai and the appam set. Their masala is the mashed version which I rarely see. Most of time masala thosai have some potato chunks in them unlike this place. I quite enjoyed it. What is amazing is the masala is well seasoned and flavoured. you can eat it by itself without the need to have the dhal or coconut sauces. Appam was also nicely seasoned. Light and airy. Overall it was a goo and fulfilling breakfast.

Best Thosai in Singapore. I've had thosai from ayer rajah to tekka to geylang and changi village and none compares to here in terms of price and taste. IMPORTANT things to note - Queue time after official 'opening' 7am+ is around 40mins to an hour or even longer at times as more time goes usually. This is because the regulars know to go early (around 6am+), order comfortably early and collect early. But it does make new buyers think these people came after them yet got their orders before them. Please note there are extreme regulars who have their usual paid advance orders on a weekly basis already and only show up 7am+ to sit around for collection. That is how good they are. Also, newcomers or entitled people tend to misunderstand this particular type of busy hawker conditions. Specifically below; The aunty is not intentionally rude. She is very busy and also keeping placed orders memorized. More manpower won't resolve the issue since the stall is small, like the size of it, literally. Just because you're next in line impatiently waiting for your order to be taken doesn't mean it'll be soon. There are alot of pending orders taken before yours that needs to be done first before she can take yours. Imagine yourself working like that day after day and dealing with numerous people daily who just have no empathy and expect restaurant and above level of smile and service. Positivity coming towards you must begin with you generating positivity towards others, make your day brighter by trying to brighten others. Expecting someone who is already overwhelmed to be the driving force for your own positive experience is just shameless of you. So please do not be entitled and think you must be given a priority over others or be incoherent when placing your orders or be fussy that you're not being 'served' like a VIP in a fine dining establishment with a ready fake and practiced smile along with your oh-so-deluded wine selection list. She will ask you what your order is when she can commit it to memory for you so just wait patiently and enunciate your order clearly and concisely when called upon. When you become a familiar face, you will have been there enough to see it is a shared experience, not just in one direction. Alternatively, as mentioned, you can go early. Place your order comfortably at 6am like the regulars and come back later at 7am+ and just sit/stand around the area visibly so she can see you are there waiting to pack it fresh for you to collect. She will call you by looking directly at you and vocally asking you to come collect your order so please do not be too absorbed whilst being on your phone. Takeaway is recommended as you can enjoy it more comfortably at home provided it is not too far away (under an hour is best). Unlike tekka thosai and most others, this doesn't rapidly drop in quality after packed. They do not use pre-made batter. That is why it is softer and stays fresher for longer. Downside; once they run out, they run out. And that is fairly quick for market standards. Usually by or around noon since they use same batter for thosai and appam etc. Admittedly, this place is not for everyone. Some people cannot see past the delusion that the world revolves around them after all. You may feel happier in a sit down establishment with someone coming to you for your order. Rajarani will not be lacking in orders without yours so never fear. To others who aren't as deluded, lets face it, at $4 per masala / 2 plain thosai, you're already getting a deal at that quality. Try one of those $5.50 masalas at hawkers where they HAVE to make it thin and crispy because its too grainy to make thick without being uneatable with watery and digusting red chutney and then you'll hope this stall stays in business for a long long time. I certainly will be remaining a regular for as long as I am able. Neither me nor my family can go for long without our usuals but alas we are forced to at times because their stall consistently does so well that the aunties take well deserved extended vacations. But you do you 👍😋

Very rude staff, the Malay lady taking orders. It's really unfortunate as the food is great. Owner should consider sacking the staff to protect their business
