While checking out the stalls, I spotted one serving lor mee * many sets. My heart is bent on having the lor mee since it is a perennial favorite of mine. Studying the menu, they have yam lor mee ($3.50), chicken cutlet lor mee ($4.00) as well as signature lor mee ($4.50) but it is the traditional lor mee that caught my attention.
Lor mee. $5.00 plus fried cod fish $3, total $8. Taste ok ok. Not bad but no big deal. I’ve tasted better ones. Nice afternoon on Friday afternoon, Relaxing as it’s not so hot.
Ordered the traditional lor mee $5. Small portion. Taste was ok, with a piece or two fried yam, half an egg, some pork belly n fried fish. Ingredients were fresh. Sadly, no sliced red chilli available but sambal chilli only. Stall owner was friendly.
Nice bowl of Lor Mee at Changi Village Hawker centre. Nice springy noodles that holds the gravy well. Comes with yam, egg, pork belly and fried fish. …
Changi Village’s Kampung Lor Mee 甘榜卤面 at stall 01-46 is clean and bright! The husband-and-wife owners are really friendly too. What a nice surprise – the taste and gravy are so close to the famous Bukit Purmei Lor Mee. Prices are reasonable, starting from $3.50,Die Die must try.
