Owner is very polite and friendly. Even though there is a queue, you can feel his sincerity when asking for the order. You can also feel his passion when he is preparing the ingredients and cooking. The sliced fish is not as smooth as I would like it. But its fresh. Soup is not super super nice but somehow it makes you drink and drink and drink.

15 minutes wait for my turn with a line that's 5 deep. Polite owner gets my orders and prepares each bowl individually to order. Soup is good, but unfortunately not a wow in my books. Plenty of fresh fish chunks and veges in my $7 serving. Can sure do with a heavier dose of chinese wine to liven things up. Will patronise again only if there isn't a long line.

I ordered both fresh and fried fish, and my preference is for the fresh fish. The soup base is incredibly flavorful. Strongly recommended!

Only batang slice fish available for me being the last customer in the queue. The fish is very fresh. Lots of cabbage. But lack the taste that I expected, may be it is me. The poor uncle works alone literally one man show for everything. For that I salute him and thankful I still have a big bowl of very fresh fish soup :))

Broth is super and the fish is fresh. I ordered the large size $8 which gives 160g of sliced fish meat (the other similar order yields 120g). That’s about 30g+ of protein. If you are looking for protein-sufficient meal, this is it. Be prepared to queue though.
