Kitty and I visited Jason's Place, a satay and chicken wing stall at Changi Village Hawker Centre. The experience was disappointing. The satay was acceptable, tender, juicy, and well-grilled, but lacked depth of flavour compared to other stalls, especially Malay ones. The peanut sauce was adequate. The chicken wings were overpriced and small. The ketupat was decent, but its curry sauce was unimpressive. The service was poor. The owners were unfriendly and demanded minimum orders with unfriendly attitude. Their abruptness was off-putting. Our chicken wings arrived after a long wait, about 50 minutes, right after we finished our other food. This was frustrating, especially since later customers got their orders first. Many online reviews share similar negative experiences, highlighting the need for better service and kitchen efficiency. The food was okay, but poor service, high prices, and small portions overshadowed the visit. Improvements in attitude, flavour, portion sizes, pricing, and kitchen management are crucial. We would not recommend this stall.
