Char siew pau skin was dense, not fluffy like a good pau should be. Filling tasted savory rather than cloyingly sweet (which is a plus for me) but had a distinct "porky" smell (big minus).

Bought the char sui bao $1 each. Dough was okay but I find the fillings too sweet.

The price has gone up after CNY. Big pau up 20cents, charsiew pau up 10 cents and loamaikai up 10cents. Only SiewMai remain at 60cents which is cheap. They only sell 4 items now; no more lotus and red bean pau. The skin of the big pau is abit thick for my liking.

Respect the handmade craft but the bun skin is unlike the usual soft fluffy ones. These ones are pretty dense and quite thick. Taste is subjective and this just isn’t it for me.

Char siew bao was soft and inside fillings were slightly sweeter than usual. The chicken on the mai gai was generous and tasted pretty good as well.
