Finally tried the famous long-queue putu piring in Malacca during my recent trip. After all that waiting… I can confidently say Singapore’s Haig Road putu piring still wins. Some flavours just can’t be replaced.

Putu piring is nice(tried before). But if service is bad, makes all things disappointing. When asked, staff said not openat 10.30am, we asked again, staff said not ready and another 10mins. …

One of my favourite desserts to get in singapore. It's 2.80 for a pack of 4. Everything tastes perfectly balanced and very fresh. The rice cake is soft and fluffy and the gula melaka is perfectly sweet.

I would highly recommend tourists to visit this spot near Haji Lane for a local delicacy / simple snack. It is simple and cheap and there is a lovely entertainment in seeing it being made. It is kind of like a small coconut pancake or soft donut. Really nice and satisfying!
