Pork cutlet was just warm not hot, the meat was overcooked and not crispy. The underside of the cutlet was soggy. Price is cheap for the portion size but taste was not fantastic. Don’t think I will visit again.

This is my second time eating here. The last time was very good, but this time the fish was very fishy and I couldn’t eat it. I hope it can be improved in the future.

Gochi-So Shokudo is a casual Japanese eatery with multiple outlets across Singapore, specializing primarily in pork-based dishes. If you’re craving hearty and satisfying Japanese comfort food, this place delivers generously sized portions—especially their curry rice, which is both filling and flavorful. One of the highlights this month is their pork loin set, currently on promotion at half price, making it a great value for money. They also offer student meals and kids’ meals tailored to different age groups, which makes it a convenient and family-friendly option. However, compared to other similar Japanese restaurants like Sabotan, there are a few differences worth noting. While Saboten is known for offering unlimited servings of pork cutlet sauce and salad dressing, Gochi-So Shokudo provides only a small portion of sauce with each meal. If you’re someone who enjoys customizing your dish with extra condiments, this might feel a bit limiting. Still, for the price, portion size, and overall quality, Gochi-So Shokudo remains a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy Japanese pork dishes without breaking the bank.

Tea has some fishy smell/taste, told the waitress, she switched another cup for me without explaining (probably no one tasted it). Not sure if the fishy smell isn't supposed to be in the tea or it's the taste of the tea. …

Overall food is pleasant tasting and shockingly way more satisfying than I expected for the milean katsu set I ordered. The presentation looks good. One flaw is pork katsu is too dry, but the cheese blends well with the pork katsu. One …
