A curry puff stall at Bedok 216, offering freshly fried, flaky pastries filled with curried potato, chicken, and egg.
Chef Curry Puff is a hawker stall at Pasar 216 Bedok Central that specialises in the classic Singaporean snack of curry puffs, those golden, flaky pastries filled with spiced curried fillings. The stall offers the traditional curried potato and chicken filling encased in a crispy, layered pastry shell, alongside other varieties that may include sardine and egg options. Each puff is fried fresh, ensuring a hot, crunchy exterior that gives way to a moist, savoury interior with the familiar blend of curry spices, potatoes, and tender chicken pieces. The stall caters to the breakfast and lunch crowd at the Bedok food centre, where curry puffs remain a popular grab-and-go snack that pairs perfectly with a cup of local kopi. The pricing is kept affordable, in line with hawker centre expectations, making it easy to pick up a few for sharing or as a quick meal on the run. For a taste of one of Singapore's most enduring snack traditions, Chef Curry Puff at Bedok 216 delivers the satisfying crunch and warm, spiced filling that make this treat a perennial favourite.

This is the same stall as the former Cheese Curry Puff. We did a comparison of cheese puffs with the almost next doors What The Puff! The bottom one is from Chef Curry Puff. The weight is roughly the same with the rival. The pastry tastes slightly lighter, a little crispier than What The Puff! But less rich. The cheese used seems to be a type of mozzarella, in stick form. With one bite you taste the cheese, and you achieve a photogenic cheese pull. The curry is on the sweeter side, a supporter of the cheese flavour. Because the cheese flavour stood out more, I recommend this stall rather than its rival in terms of the cheese puff.

Big in size no doubt. 3/4 filled with potatoes and 1/4 shared between the egg and chicken. Curry not fragrant enough, spice underwhelming. Dough is light and clean.

To me the best curry puff in 216 food centre (better than its neighbour in my humble opinion) and possibly also in the bedok north area. I always go for the curry cheese and orh nee puff. If you're lucky to get a curry cheese that's fresh out of the oven, you'll get that cheese pull but likely to burn your mouth. Even when it's cold, the puff still tastes really good. My current go-to when I need to satisfy that curry puff craving.

$2 for the regular curry. Skin is thin and a nice curry flavour.

I feel that this is better than Old Chang Kee, the curry chicken puff has chunks of potatoes and also a quarter hard-boiled egg. These curry puffs are handmade but they are equal in size. I also tried the chicken pie puff, inside it has …
