Carrot cake stall at Changi Village Hawker Centre serving crispy and soft versions daily.
Changi Village Carrot Cake at Changi Village Hawker Centre serves up one of Singapore's most beloved hawker dishes in both its iconic forms: the crispy, golden-fried version and the soft, eggy rendition. The stall takes its chai tow kway seriously, stir-frying cubes of radish cake with eggs, preserved radish, and spring onions on a well-seasoned griddle that imparts a subtle smokiness to every plate. The crispy version emerges with a satisfying exterior crunch that gives way to a tender, slightly chewy centre, while the soft version delivers a comforting, custard-like texture that pairs beautifully with the savoury-sweet chilli sauce on the side. The Changi Village Hawker Centre setting provides a charming, laid-back dining atmosphere where the sea breeze and the unhurried pace of the neighbourhood create a pleasant escape from the city. Open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily, Changi Village Carrot Cake suits early risers seeking a hearty breakfast, lunchtime diners, and those who have just finished a walk along nearby Changi Beach. The stall's consistent quality and fair pricing have made it a reliable choice for both locals and visitors exploring the eastern tip of Singapore. This carrot cake i wont say the better one but above average. As mentioned, i dislike preheated/ re heated food. It will lose the actual taste of carrot cake But i like the wok hey. I can feel in the carrot cake. It is not so sweet , and not so salty. It is just right. But i didnt like the eggs in the carrot cake. It was too dry . I suspected it could be " pre heated food" that the fried egg to be so dry.
