They pushed out the orderes fast despite during peak hour. The congee was watery when having. Will prefer one with thicker consistency & more flavorful bowl.

**My First Review of Botak Cantonese Porridge or Congee @ Our Tampines Hub (OTH)** **Location:** Botak Cantonese Porridge 1 Tampines Walk, #01-65 Hawker Centre @ Our Tampines Hub, Singapore 528523 Botak Cantonese Porridge at Our Tampines Hub comes recommended for its smooth, comforting, and well-textured porridge. The porridge is thick and luxuriously silky, delivering a naturally flavourful taste that does not require additional condiments or seasonings. A simple sprinkle of pepper adds a delightful aroma without overwhelming the palate. This Cantonese porridge, or congee, is particularly popular among seniors due to its easy digestibility. During my visit, we ordered two bowls: the handmade meatball porridge at $3.50 and the minced pork/ century egg porridge at $4.00. It is worth noting that the available ingredients vary according to the menu listed. The prices are reasonable. You can choose from a variety of options based on your preference, including handmade meatballs, minced pork, cuttlefish, chicken, pork, and sliced fish porridge. Each bowl is served with freshly cut crispy fritters or YouTiao. The fried crispy fritters are served cut into pieces. However, if you choose to have century eggs to your porridge only, you might find that the pieces are not very visible within the bowl. It would be beneficial for management to consider improving this presentation by including more noticeable slices. You can also add additional ingredients such as an egg, a whole century egg, You Tiao, meatballs, minced pork, sliced fish, or even prawns for a small amount of money. There tends to be a crowd during lunchtime, but the service was prompt during my visit. To avoid long queues, I recommend placing your order before the typical office lunch rush. **Impressions:** - **Texture & Taste:** The porridge is smooth, with a balanced flavour that isn’t overly salty or excessively gooey. - **Ingredients:** Fresh, with particular praise for the tender pork and crispy fried fritters. - **Fish Porridge:** It's advisable to check for any off-putting smells, as some reviews have noted this concern. - **Price:** Reasonable, with the handmade minced pork porridge priced at $3.50 among other affordable options. Here is a quick glance at the menu for your dining pleasure.
