Black or White? BJ Grill’s Carrot Cake Nails Both! BJ Grill Seafood and Carrot Cake at Old Airport Road serves one of the yummiest carrot cakes around. Both the black and white versions are perfectly fried—crispy outside, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The portion size is generous, and the balance of seasoning is just right. What makes the experience even better is the friendly uncle who takes your order with a smile. Great food and warm service—definitely a must-try when you're in the area. Always happy to support local hawker businesses, especially when they offer locally delicious eats. ***** - Dinner today 10.08.25 - Came back for dinner and tried the prawn white carrot cake—prawns were fresh and nicely sized, adding a great touch to the dish. The uncle taking orders is always the highlight with his warm, thoughtful service. Truly makes each visit feel welcoming and worth returning for.
Fish likes rubber; forzen prawn never defrost properly and just cooked and served. Raw foods/vege never properly washed.
Cheap however , stingray fish not fresh and also dry . Not as advertise . The Lala meat size was so tiny smaller then a 5 cent . Ordered Large but not worth the price. .
Stingray, vegetables, sotong and blood cockles are so good. New stall and yet they become my 1st choice at old airport road hawker now.
Sambal stingray was overcooked. The flesh was dry and rubbery. The sambal for the lala was good but unlike other bbq seafood stalls, the lala was tiny and I could barely feel it in my mouth at all. The kangkong was delicious though.
Ordered Sambal Kangkong and Sambal Stingray. Both are overly sweet for my liking. Felt like im eating sugar. Don't understand the traffic at this store. It' probably targeted to tourists. Never tasted sambal this sweet before.
Stingray with lady fingers, an innovative and refreshing approach! The dish was grilled to perfection, generously coated with a rich, tangy sambal sauce, making it so tasty!
Big portion size, deliciously fried carrot cake, great customer service, 2 sauces to dip in and mine was only $5 but so filling ✌️(the photo is a lie it looks much more irl)
good carrot cake and sambal stingray! at first sight, the carrot cake looks pale. the first bite had a burst of flavour, hint of charred taste with great sambal sauce. sambal stingray was tender and the sambal sauce complemented it well!
Grilled seafood food vendor at Old Airport Road Hawker Center. Cash only. Simple and tasty. Southernmost side of the hawker center facing Old Airport Road. Grilled stingray can come spicy or non-spicy. Was a little on the tough side. Steamed sea snails were tasty! Nice chili sauce to accompany both.
