Changi Village Hawker Centre reopens 16 October after 15-day repair

Changi Village Hawker Centre at Blocks 2 and 3 Changi Village Road reopens on 16 October 2026. The National Environment Agency shut it from 1 to 15 October for repairs and redecoration. Fifteen days. Not a three-month gutting.

NEA's announcements table still carried those dates in mid-October. 8world said the same on 11 October: the works at 樟宜村小贩中心 were due to finish on the 15th. If you rode out last week for nasi lemak and found shutters, that was the R&R, not a rumour.

Fans, haze, and a longer close that is not booked

Seth Lui spoke to the family at Mizzy Corner Nasi Lemak before the close. Ceiling fans on the scale of MRT-station fans were going in, after diners kept saying the hall is hot and humid. Early-October haze made that worse. This is a short fix. The last long close ran 15 August to 14 November 2022.

Hawkers on the committee have talked about a longer upgrading shutdown around December 2027. Mizzy Corner told Seth Lui nothing is locked. Treat 2027 as a watch item. Do not plan a trip around it.

Mizzy Corner Nasi Lemak stall 01-26 at Changi Village Hawker Centre with set meal prices

Mizzy Corner and what the board still charges

Mizzy Corner is stall 01-26. The yellow board prices set meals from $4 to $6, egg and ikan bilis with chicken, fillet, fish, otah, hotdog, or drumstick. The shrimp paste chicken cutlet set is $7. The stall has been here since 1997. That is the breakfast people ride to the village for, then walk to the Changi Point bumboat.

Seth Lui also named Million Star Fried Banana as a regular order in the same hall. Stall hours inside the centre do not move as one clock. The building is listed roughly 6am to 2am Monday to Thursday, 6am to midnight Friday, and 24 hours Saturday and Sunday. Confirm the stall you want is firing before you sit down.

How you get there

Take bus 2 from Tanah Merah, bus 29 from Tampines, or bus 59. Alight at Changi Village Bus Terminal. The hawker is the building you walk into, not a mall food court. After breakfast the bumboat to Pulau Ubin still runs on demand from about 6am to 7pm, $4 cash each way and $2 extra per bicycle, when 12 passengers fill a boat. NParks' Ubin visit page is the live source for that, not a private hawker fan site.

Changi Boardwalk is still split. NParks has the stretch between Cliff Walk and Sailing Point Walk closed for repairs. If you wanted a coastal walk after the meal, read the notice before you go east of the village.

Jewel is 15 minutes away by taxi and is not this breakfast. Locals come to the village. Tourists who only do the Rain Vortex miss the nasi lemak.
