Charcoal-grilled satay stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre.
Toa Payoh Satay is a satay stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre, serving charcoal-grilled skewers of marinated meat paired with a rich peanut dipping sauce. The stall grills its satay over traditional charcoal, imparting the smoky aroma and caramelised edges that distinguish great satay from the merely good. Chicken, beef, and mutton options are typically available, each cut and marinated to absorb the blend of spices before hitting the grill. Alongside the satay, the stall offers the classic accompaniments of ketupat rice cubes, raw cucumber, and onion slices. Old Airport Road Food Centre is one of Singapore's most celebrated hawker centres, and Toa Payoh Satay holds its own among the many notable stalls. It suits evening diners, families sharing a plate, and anyone who believes satay is best eaten fresh off the coals. Visit Toa Payoh Satay at 51 Old Airport Rd, #01-78, Singapore 390051. This satay is truly a rare find, prepared by a dedicated uncle whose care shines through in every bite. His unique peanut sauce, enriched with pineapple, is a delightful and uncommon touch that sets it apart. The satay meat itself is wonderfully juicy, never dry.

Be prepared to wait if you arrived after 6pm! Waiting time is abt 20mins to 30mins. In my opinion.the pork and chicken satay are better than the other famous stall located in Old Airport Road Food Centre. …

I highly recommend the pork satay. Best to dine there as the pork will turn a little hard as it cools down. Uncle can sound a bit impatient but all he needs from you is if you’re dining in or taking away, and your order. I think the peanut sauce is great with the pineapple.
