My review is NOT for this outlet, it is for the stall at the Marine Parade pasar malam. We got 2 grago vadais. They stank so bad from the oil. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Waste of money. Threw them both away.

Halal vadai chain famous for crispy, spiced lentil fritters at Geylang Serai.
Halal vadai chain famous for crispy, spiced lentil fritters at Geylang Serai.
The Original Vadai is a halal-certified chain that has made a name for itself with its crispy, spiced lentil fritters, and the Geylang Serai outlet is one of its most popular locations. The vadai is deep-fried to a golden crisp on the outside while remaining soft and flavourful within, seasoned with curry leaves, chilli, and shallots. The brand has expanded across Singapore, bringing this South Indian snack to a wider audience. Beyond the classic vadai, the chain offers variations such as prawn vadai and onion vadai, each with its own twist. The fritters are made fresh and fried to order, ensuring that every piece is hot and crispy. It is a great snack to grab while exploring Geylang Serai Market, especially during the bustling Ramadan period. Crispy, savoury, and freshly fried — The Original Vadai is a snack worth stopping for. Grab a few and eat them while they are hot.Based on 8 Google reviews
