Over 30 years of wanton mee heritage at Dunman Food Centre, with handmade wantons and a tangy chilli sambal that hooks you.
Joo Chiat Ah Huat Wanton Noodle carries a legacy that stretches back over three decades, with roots in the legendary Hong Mao Wanton Mee that once operated at Tembeling Road. When the original lady boss retired, the current owner, who had worked alongside her, took the reins and continued the tradition at Dunman Food Centre, preserving the same distinctive sauce, tangy chilli sambal and handmade wantons that made the original a beloved name. For those who remember Hong Mao, a plate here is like stepping back in time. The noodles are tossed in a darker-than-usual soy sauce blend that is savoury and deeply satisfying, while the chilli sambal adds a unique tangy heat that regulars insist is irreplaceable. The handmade wantons are the scene-stealer, with tastily seasoned fillings wrapped in silky, smooth skin, and an order of wanton soup lets you enjoy even more of them. A plate of braised chicken feet and an off-menu request for crispy pork lard round out a meal that feels like a secret worth sharing. Find Joo Chiat Ah Huat at Dunman Food Centre for wanton mee that honours a legacy. It is tradition, preserved one bowl at a time.Operating Hours

Here, the wanton noodles are delicious. They use their own homemade noodles, which are very tasty. I added extra noodles for a total of SGD 6, but it’s worth it because I ordered a large portion. The ambiance is comfortable for dining as well.

Noodles well cooked and chili is power. I really like the wanton which has a rich flavour. Though have to wait 35 mins for my plate of noodle, it's still worth the wait.

$4 for a play or wanton noodle is reasonable, though adding a portion of noodle is not ($2 more). Green chilli is crunchy with mix of sweet and sour taste. The stall serves a bigger bowl of soup, which is sufficient compared to other stalls that give a much smaller bowl.
