Hock Guan Popiah Rojak is a stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre that specialises in two of Singapore's most beloved snack items, popiah and rojak, both executed with careful attention to balance and freshness. The popiah features a double-layered skin wrapped around a moist, flavourful filling of stewed radish shreds, carrot bits, egg, lettuce, bean sprouts, crunchy peanuts, and crispy batter bits, with sweet seasoning sauce adding a pleasant tint of sweetness. The rojak offers a mix of crunchy pear and cucumber slices, sweet pineapple, crispy you tiao, and tau pok, all tossed in a watery, sweet sauce with a limey undertone and topped with generous ground peanuts. The stall also offers a noteworthy tao gua pok option, which has been highlighted as a standout by regulars. Operating daily from late morning into the evening, Hock Guan provides a reliable snack stop within one of Singapore's most celebrated food centres. For two classic Singaporean appetisers done right, Hock Guan Popiah Rojak is well worth seeking out at Old Airport Road.Operating Hours

Ordered the one portion of popiah with chili. The stuffing taste is good. Looking for more crunchy stuffing to improve the texture but don't have much. What is really disappointing is the skin. The one that I had is tough and stiff. It looks like it has been left opened and dried up quite significantly. It might just be the one slice of skin that was used to make my popiah but it really left a bad impression. So need to improve on the consistency of the quality.

Sad place good location but the taste is truly horrible. I ordered popiah and rojak, both of them are overly sweet and quite bad for eating wasted money. U see from how the popiah was made u can tell the care or lack of. Skin was hard..

Was feeling hungry while waiting for my Lao Fu Zi CKT to be ready in 10 mins. Ordered one popiah at $1.70 to try. Their neighbour is selling at $2 per piece. I wasn't disappointed with how the popish tasted. It was good and filling is full and flavourful! Would recommend diners to try them.

Very friendly couple running the stall! Came here on 21/3/2024 at around 8:45pm and it was still open. Don't think the hours are really updated. Food wise, I do agree with other reviews that the popiah skin is dry. However, I don't see that as much of an issue. $2 for a roll is very worth it! Being handmade, the fillings were not only generous but very tasty. I wouldn't paying more for handmade popiah like this either!

Popiah here is another miss for me. Decided to try their Popiah this time as I had their Rojak some time back and thought it was quite nice. On the sweet side and that's a personal preference. The Popiah ($2/piece) did not hit the mark, as in quite a few other reviews, primarily that the skin was dry/hard. (Not sure why uncle doesn't keep them under a moist cloth). The filling was bland, though generous, and had nice crunchy bits (not just the fried garlic..something else like maybe crispy Youtiao) going through it, which gave some relief. Personally I would have preferred if there was more sweet sauce and if the chili had more kick. Here they are using the fresh kind of chili rather than the cooked down paste made from dried chilies) Cannot get over the skin though. Pity. Note: The couple running the place are very nice and friendly.
