Singapore's beloved prawn vadai specialist since 1985, serving crispy fritters with bold South Indian flavours.
Gina's Vadai has been a fixture of Singapore's snack scene since 1985, when founder Gina started crafting prawn vadai from a humble stall. The shop is best known for its signature crispy prawn vadai, golden-fried lentil fritters studded with whole prawns and spiced with green chilli and curry leaves. Each vadai is made fresh to order, ensuring a satisfying crunch with every bite. Beyond the classic prawn, the menu includes onion vadai and potato vadai for those who prefer vegetable options. The stall also offers complimentary chilli sauce and a sweet-sour relish that pair perfectly with the fritters. Gina's Vadai suits anyone after an authentic South Indian street snack experience, whether as a teatime treat or a savoury bite on the go. Drop by their Onan Road stall and see why generations of Singaporeans have kept coming back for decades.Operating Hours

Came here cos of Gina's Vadai (#01-06) and it was worth it. The prawn Vadai was fresh, crispy and tasty. Ikan bilis nut one was not as tasty n the nut was a bit soft. I'll go for the traditional prawn one anytime. Absolutely great with the green chilli - one bite of vadai and one bite of vadai, yum yum 😋 …

Do yourself a favour and wander downstairs at Dunman for absolutely delicious vadai at Ginas. The rojak sauce is also very tasty. Tried the veggie and cheese vadais and went back for seconds! Service is friendly, no plastic in sight and very cheap. Highly recommend.

Best vadai in Singapore! So fresh with lots of flavour and not oily like other versions. The owner’s sister Jita is hilarious and so lovely! Highly recommend

Today I explore the Dunman food centre. This is the 2nd time I am trying this, the fist time I was blown away by the crispness of the Vadai. Today I tried the larger 2.50 sgd prawn vadai. Very hot and crispy as well. Love it.

we bought a total of 15 vadai and some samosas. 😂 we bought 6 at first, ate some on the spot and went back for more. It’s that good. It’s interesting how Gina has a little hole in her vadais… something a lot of sellers don’t have. I reckon it helps to cook it properly and evenly. …
