Hawker stall specialty coffee roaster at Amoy Street pouring single-origin pour-overs and lattes.
Hawker stall specialty coffee roaster at Amoy Street pouring single-origin pour-overs and lattes.
Generation Coffee Roasters at Amoy Street Food Centre is a specialty coffee stall that brings third-wave coffee culture to the heart of the hawker centre, proving that exceptional coffee does not require a cafe setting. Run by young coffee enthusiasts, the stall focuses on single-origin beans sourced from top roasters, prepared as pour-overs, lattes, and flat whites with the same care and precision found in any speciality cafe. The contrast between the humble hawker setting and the refined coffee on offer has made Generation a talking point among Singapore's coffee community. The menu features a rotating selection of single-origin beans, with tasting notes displayed so diners can choose their preferred profile. Prices are notably lower than comparable speciality cafes, making quality coffee accessible to the CBD lunch crowd and hawker regulars alike. The stall operates primarily on weekday lunch hours and accepts cash and electronic payments. It suits coffee purists, office workers in need of a proper brew, and anyone curious about the evolving hawker scene. For specialty coffee without the cafe price tag, Generation Coffee Roasters delivers. Stop by Amoy Street, order a pour-over, and taste the difference a hawker stall can make.Based on 394 Google reviews

Wanted to give 1-star but I feel it will be too critical. This branch used to be the best amongst all the donki outlets I've gone to. The staffs all used to be very friendly and awesome. But my past few visits, they've been very unfriendly and unmotivated. Maybe burnt out or management issue.. I also notice they intentionally wouldn't man the cashiering counters anymore but only let one do it. And if you're paying by card and not cash, they will just point to the self-checkout terminal and ask you to pay there instead. They don't even bother opening their mouth to explain, they simply just point and ignore you afterwards. It is ridiculous, especially when you can clearly see the cashier accepts card payments too. It is just disappointing to see their customer service has deteriorated to this extent. I wanted to give 1-star, but, on account of their past good service, I will give 3-stars instead.

Michelle at the cashier was friendly when explaining the store ran out of plastic bags as well as recycle bags. Sushi looks good aesthetically but did not taste fresh. You can request for chopsticks (FOC) at the cashier. I find some items are expensive in Don don donki.
