Savoury kway chap with offal and braised tofu, a comforting bowl of Teochew heritage at Chai Chee.
Chai Chee Kway Chap is a hawker stall serving the traditional Teochew dish of kway chap — broad, flat rice sheets in a dark, aromatic soy-based broth. The accompanying braised items are the highlight, with tender pork offal, braised pork belly, hard-boiled eggs, and tofu all steeped in a deeply flavoured braising liquid. The broth is robust yet balanced, with herbal notes that complement rather than overwhelm. Each bowl is assembled to order, ensuring the kway is silky and the braised items are served warm and flavourful. The stall also offers additional items like fishcake and braised duck for those wanting a more elaborate plate. Prices are affordable and the portions are hearty, making it a satisfying meal for offal lovers and kway chap devotees. Visit Chai Chee Kway Chap and tuck into a bowl that honours Teochew tradition with every slurp.

This is right on par with the other famous Chris kway chup in the same hawker. Broth is lighter and not as thick as Chris but I feel the kway is much more smoother. The braised items are tender and good as always. Just wished that the chilli is more spicier.

My favourite kway chap in whole of SG.gravy is robust and has just the right amount of herbal taste. kway is perfectly cooked and broth tastes really comforting. Operated by two brothers and I’ve been having this for close more than 20 years. Be prepared to queue ~20-30 min on weekends but it’s well worth it!
Zara
traditional yummy kway chup at its best! even the kway came served with a herbal tasting broth. we ordered the 2 pax set & topped up for extra braised meat (total $11). portion was really generous! only slight downside is the perpetual long queue, but guess that's a testament of how good the food really is 😋 …

06/01/24 $10 for portion of two. Big intestines are huge, nice and flavourful. But the wait is horrible because only two person handling the stall. Better than average but the best.

This is the other kway chap gem in the same hawker centre. The pair of owners have been here at this market for a very long tome. Ate since I was a kid. Still love their authentic kway chap! They’re 33% cheaper and generous with the portions. Open on most days!
